    Preventive Medical Services

Healthy living is the key to a long and happy life. Strategic medical and healthcare decisions should be made before it's too late. At Lajas Medical Group, we offer a full range of preventive services, with flexible scheduling and available transportation for your convenience.

Convenient Preventive Care

Preventive care at your convenience

Your health should be your number one priority. Preventive medical services help you maintain a healthy lifestyle and aid in the early detection of problems and diseases before they get out of hand. This is especially important as we get older.

Getting regular checkups is beneficial, especially when you have mild symptoms that may not seem significant until they worsen into more extreme symptoms. This can be done at the same location, much to your convenience.

At Lajas Medical Group, we offer preventive care services that include checkups, screenings, and patient counseling. Detecting diseases in the early stages allows us to address the appropriate treatments.

Our preventive Medical Services

Our comprehensive preventive services include the following:
Services for Women

Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm

An Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm, referred to as AAA, is the enlargement of the body's main blood vessel, the aorta, at the abdominal level.

If you think you might have this condition or any concerns about it then make sure you get checked out right away by visiting your doctor.

Get a pap test regularly. If you're under 30 years old and receive normal pap test results for three consecutive years, it's safe to get your pap tests once every five years.

Recommended for: Men aged 65-75 who have smoked tobacco

Lung Cancer Screening

If you smoke or have previously smoked regularly, ask your doctor about lung cancer screening.

Recommended for: Adults aged 55-80 who have a history of heavy smoking

Aspirin Management

Ask your doctor about taking aspirin daily to help lower your risk of heart attack or stroke.

If you were born between 1945 and 1965, the most important thing is to get tested for hepatitis C.

Recommended for: Adults with high cholesterol or at risk for heart disease or diabetes

Recommended for: Pregnant women and new mothers

Healthy Pregnancy

The most important thing you should do during pregnancy is to start taking prenatal vitamins as early as possible.

Make sure that you start being responsible during the earliest stages of your pregnancy.

It's best not to use tobacco or alcohol while you're pregnant because they can cause birth defects in your child, and it is sometimes impossible to reverse the damage caused in the early stages of development.
